Intead has taken a few major steps forward in the past months. I’ll credit you and all of the friends we meet at our industry conferences.
Last December, we met with so many of you at the AIRC and ICEF conferences and we made a number of new friends who have now become clients. The growth we’ve witnessed in these industry events and our field over the past 5 years has been tremendous.
Forever is composed of nows. ~ Emily Dickinson
As we move forward, there are inevitable changes that keep us on our toes, help us grow. In college, as an English major, I remember a paper I wrote about Emily Dickinson’s poetry. She looked at things with such insight. Her phrasing made me look at the familiar in new ways.
I hope Intead’s content, reporting and counsel have become familiar and trusted to you. As we move toward the 2015 NAFSA conference in our hometown Boston (can we set up a meeting?), I want to share some of the important changes that have happened here at Intead.
Michael, our fearless, technology-driven leader, has taken a senior position with an Israeli-based, global mobile marketing company, Perion. He has become the Chief Strategy Officer and head of corporate development of this publicly listed holding company.
Lisa, our academic advisor, has developed a thriving college counseling service helping students and families (domestic and international) make the all-important higher ed investment that supports a bright future.
Michael and Lisa will become members of Intead’s Advisory Board so that we continue to tap their wisdom, though they won’t be involved in our day to day operations. We will watch as their stars continue to rise.
In the meantime, as Intead’s new CEO, I have been building our staff in the Boston office. We’ve recently added Kellie Faulkner as Client Service Director, Elizabeth Frederick as Marketing Director and Jennifer Thayer as Marketing Communications Manager. And coming in May, Maggie Li will be joining the team as our newest Digital Marketing Associate.
The range of academic marketing talent these additions represent is a bit staggering. From Maggie’s knowledge of social media (Chinese and the rest), Elizabeth’s and Jen’s messaging and digital content skills, and Kellie’s depth of admissions experience with institutions including Full Sail University, Berklee College of Music, Private School Innovator and New England Academy, I think we are moving forward with strength.
And just a quick thought to store away – we are still looking for new talent to build our academic marketing staff to help us serve our clients. We welcome inquires and we are highly selective. If you know anyone …
In the coming weeks you will see insightful academic marketing blog posts from our new staff. And we will share information about the three recruitment focused sessions we will be presenting at the NAFSA conference.
We are excited to unveil our latest research. If you’ve attended one of our sessions in the past, you know, our presentations Do Not Disappoint! We have some great new findings that should create a bit of Boston Buzz (no, that won’t be from the Sam Adams Beer!).
In the meantime, I hope you will reach out to us. Our whole team will be at the conference. We would love some time with you to take a quick breath from the whirlwind that is NAFSA. We’ll buy you a cup of coffee and give you some of our custom “enroll more” M&M’s (remember those?).
I’ll close with this: Change your opinions, keep to your principles; change your leaves, keep intact your roots. ~ Victor Hugo
Intead is here for you. Our roots are intact.
